Dr. Sebastian Ulbert is head of the immunology and vaccine technologies division at the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology IZI in Leipzig.
The Department of Vaccines and Infection Models focuses on developing procedures to stimulate or suppress the immune system. These include vaccines on innovative technology platforms. In-vivo and in-vitro model systems are also generated and used to develop diagnostic and therapeutic agents.
