Yvan Torrente, MD, PhD, is Professor of Neurology at University of Milan and Staff Neurologist at the Policlinico Hospital of Milan, Italy. His scientific commitment has been dedicated to a translational approach for the treatment of neuromuscular disorders based on the combination of stem cell and gene protocols. Lately, he has proposed further approaches for a deeper understanding of the role of immunity in the pathogenesis of muscular dystrophy.
