DMM Seminars 2025 - Marino Zerial
29.04.2025
DMM Seminar Series 2025 prosegue con Marino Zerial e la sua lecture dal titolo "Role of forces in membrane dynamics and liver tissue morphogenesis".
Qualche piccola informazione in lingua sul nostro ospite:
Marino Zerial is a cell biologist and biochemist, currently Director of the Human Technopole Foundation (HT). In addition to being one of the founding directors of the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden, he is also an honorary professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Technische Universität Dresden (Germany) and the winner of numerous international research awards. Marino Zerial has made key contributions towards the understanding of the molecular mechanisms of endocytosis. His work on Rab GTPases as master regulators of organelle biogenesis and membrane fusion has established key principles which are textbook knowledge. He has been working on various translational projects, including the role of endocytosis in bacterial infection, development of image-based high content screenings, delivery of macromolecule therapeutics and studies of human liver diseases.
