Kim Bak Jensen is a renowned Danish researcher and academic, currently a professor and director of the Copenhagen node of the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Medicine (reNEW). His work has primarily focused on the study of intestinal stem cells and their role in maintaining tissue homeostasis. Prof. Jensen is the author of numerous publications in high-impact scientific journals and has received several awards for his innovative work. He currently leads a research group at the University of Copenhagen, where he continues to investigate the molecular mechanisms governing stem cell behavior and their therapeutic potential. Combining studies on mouse models and clinical samples, the long-term goal of research in Jensen's laboratory is to translate results from in vitro and in vivo models into regenerative therapies.
